Behind the scenes, our Finance team plays a critical role in supporting smart decision-making and driving sustainable growth. We’re now looking for a Group Procurement Finance Manager to join our team and partner closely with Procurement to deliver insight, challenge, and financial performance.
(Hadley Park – Hybrid Working)
Here at Hotel Chocolat, we've adopted hybrid working This means you’ll join us on site for three days a week, and for the other two days – you can work from wherever you like! The onsite location for this role is at our Factory ‘Hadley Park’, in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, right in the heart of where our chocolates are made and where weekly, we can produce between 4 to 6 million of the chocolates we all know and love.
Hadley Park is just 5 minutes off the A141 and 1.3 miles from Huntingdon train station, with direct rail links to London King’s Cross.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a diverse and forward-thinking procurement team. As Group Procurement Finance Manager, you will partner with the procurement function to proactively manage risk and opportunities, provide robust financial insight, and drive P&L improvements across the business.
You will also play a key role in validating projects and initiatives to ensure they deliver tangible financial benefits and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the financial budgeting and forecasting process across Procurement, ensuring alignment with FP&A guidelines
Own the month-end close process for procurement areas, including accruals and prepayments
Provide commercial and financial challenge to procurement stakeholders across direct and indirect spend categories
Deliver weekly purchase price variance (PPV) analysis and commentary
Identify, track and manage risks and opportunities impacting procurement spend
Present monthly financial results and commentary to the FP&A team
Support the delivery of a 24-month forecast across materials, packaging and third-party spend
Design and continuously improve procurement reporting and KPIs
Validate and track procurement savings, including updating Sievo for Mars Global Services
Lead the annual revaluation process relating to price forecasting for materials, packaging and third-party suppliers
Work closely with the Costings and Sustainability Finance Manager to ensure alignment in the annual revaluation process
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions
What we’re looking for
Essential
Relevant professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or part-qualified depending on experience)
Strong background in procurement, supply chain, or operations finance
Strong attention to detail combined with high energy and a proactive mindset
Confident business partner with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
Experience working with accounting systems
Strong Excel skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Previous experience working within a food manufacturing environment
Desirable
Experience in a multi-channel trading business
Strong systems capability and experience with reporting tools
