Job Introduction
As we continue our mission to make people and nature happy through reinventing chocolate, we’re looking for a General Cleaning Operative (Cleaner) to join our Facilities Team on a permanent basis.
Supporting our Facilities Team Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of cleaning and waste management is maintained in-line with our Food Safety Standards across our offices, warehouse and meeting rooms. You will play an important part in the team by promoting best practice across the site and creating a collaborative and safe environment for all employees.
Salary: £13.05 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm.

The on-site location for this role is at our Distribution Centre ‘Alpha’, in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. Whether it’s a bustling event, online order or keeping our store shelves fully stocked, our team at Alpha provide the support network that makes this happen.
Alpha is just off the A1 (Wyboston Interchange) and 3.4 miles from St Neots train station. With free parking on site.
What you’ll be doing….
- Site cleaning to include offices, toilets, meeting rooms and our warehouse.
- Complete training specific to your duties consisting of:
- Health and Safety – COSHH, manual handling, food safety cleaning standards, personal hygiene
- Equipment - floor scrubbers, MHE (*subject to site requirements)
- Core skills – cleaning schedules, glass and spillages, time management
- Assist with site wide periodic cleaning.
- Follow a cleaning schedule to ensure all areas are always covered and maintained to a high standard.
- Complete the required paperwork in-line with your duties.
- Assist across the Fulfilment operation creating a collaborative environment and team work ethic.
- Promote best practice and implement a fun and safe environment for employees, making suggestions for improving service and facilities.
Who you are…
Essential
- Practical and ‘hands-on’, with a can-do attitude.
- Demonstrable experience within a cleaning or similar hygiene role.
Desirable
- Motivated and self-starter, working on your own initiative
- Strong multi-tasking & time management skills with an ability to prioritise a demanding schedule
