As we continue our mission to make people and nature happy through chocolate, we’re looking for a Finance Analyst – Operations to join our Finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, you’ll ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all financial transactions and reporting related to Hotel Chocolat’s Operational function. You’ll play a key part in supporting production and procurement teams, providing valuable financial insight, variance analysis and project support to help us continuously improve efficiency across our manufacturing operations.

(Hadley Park – Hybrid Working)
Here at Hotel Chocolat, we've adopted hybrid working This means you’ll join us on site for three days a week, and for the other two days – you can work from wherever you like! The onsite location for this role is at our Factory ‘Hadley Park’, in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, right in the heart of where our chocolates are made and where weekly, we can produce between 4 to 6 million of the chocolates we all know and love.
Hadley Park is just 5 minutes off the A141 and 1.3 miles from Huntingdon train station, with direct rail links to London King’s Cross.
What you’ll be doing…
- Maintain the Operations Finance project tracker and departmental updates.
- Complete financial and profitability analysis on projects and initiatives.
- Support deep-dive variance analysis for labour, working closely with production teams.
- Monitor and analyse KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare variance analysis reporting and commentary.
- Understand and support the month-end process to provide cover during absence.
- Assist with Budget and Forecast preparation.
- Support auditor queries as part of the year-end audit.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide cover across the manufacturing and procurement finance teams when required.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager with various ad-hoc tasks.
Who you are…
Essential
- Experience of accounting systems.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with high energy and an appetite for change.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the business.
- Confident working with and analysing large volumes of data.
- Ability to plan, organise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Desirable
- Working towards a professional finance qualification.
- Experience within a multi-channel trading business.
